View a Map of the Area

The Village of Millersburg wasn't established in its current location until 1865. It is just south east of what was referred to as the Old Town.

This Old Town was originaly laid out in November of 1815 by Adam Johnson and Charles Miller of Coshocton County.

A plat was filed for the New Town in April of 1824. After becoming the County Seat of Holmes County the
city began to prosper.

Noted now for its Victorian architecture, unique shops, antique stores, a historic hotel and a beautiful Victorian mansion-turned-museum, the city and its surrounding area is well worth the visit.

It is located at the intersections of State Route 39, State Route 83, State Route 241 and US 62 as a hub in the center of Holmes County.

Victorian House Museum

The Victorian House Museum is owned and operated by the Holmes County Historical Society, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There is a charge for admission.

We visited the mansion when it was decorated for Christmas. Every year local businesses, civic organizations and even private individuals volunteer to decorate the different rooms. The house is open for tours during the holidays from the end of November through the 31st of December.

Upon entering the museum, we received an introduction about the mansion's amazing history from a volunteer staff member who was quite knowledgeable. From there, it's a leisurely self-guided tour through the three floors and basement.

There are 28 rooms in Queen Anne Victorian style that are furnished with antiques from the local citizens. The restored original floors, woodwork and wall coverings are beyond description. When you visit, don't miss the sauna - and be sure to ask why the front door is called a funeral door!

Home Away from Home

If you're looking for a wonderful accommodation for a large family or group of friends - we've found just the place! Northeast of Millersburg on a serene country road, you'll find the Orchard Guest House ready to meet your needs.

We enjoyed this beautiful home while away from home. It has two floors as well as a fully finished walk-out basement. We were able to spread out and yet enjoy the family atmosphere.

You can grill outside on the deck or roast marshmallows in the outdoor fire ring in the summer. Stay cozy and warm in the winter by the gas fireplace in the living room or enjoy playing games in the family room.

There's a fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook your own meals, two loft bedrooms and a master bedroom with a deck for viewing the scenery or watching stars at night.

Two full baths and two half baths help accommodate large families or groups. There are 4 twin rollaway beds stored in the laundry room.

One of the nicest features we found, believe it or not, is the attached garage off the kitchen. Park your vehicle out of the weather and unload your luggage with ease.

Maybe you'll enjoy the stocked ponds were you can cast your fishing line and just relax. Be sure not to miss the continental breakfast provided in the dining room at the Inn at Honey Run just down the road.

Owners and hosts Dave and Miriam Schlabach are always a quick phone call away if you need something else during your stay. We gladly give them our family's top recommendation. You may give them a call at 866-674-2768.

Millersburg Listings

It is a little confusing at times to distiguish just where some of the listings are actually located geographically. A number of businesses may have a Millersburg address but are really much closer to Berlin.

The way the corporation limits of the two cities are drawn apparently causes this unusual delineation. So, we have placed a number of the listings in both city sections.
