Apple Creek Ohio is an incorporated village with a 2000 Census population of 999 (they couldn't find one more person? ! ) and encompasses .62 square miles of land.
It is just southeast of Wooster and west of Kidron. It is also known as Apple Creek Station, Apple Orchard Town, Applecreek Junction, and Edenburg (under various spellings).
Apple Creek has a large concentration of Amish in the surrounding area.
We've come across a couple Apple Creek "treasures" you'll not want to miss.
One is Country Bedding, where the Amish manufacture mattresses and box springs that more than rival the quality of any name brand mattress.
The other is a salvage grocery store that carries the special "scratch & dent" items typical of salvage grocery stores, along with the traditional deli-store fare including special order party trays and subs.
And, Apple Creek is less than 10 miles from Wooster where you'll find plenty of places to spend the night, eat, shop and even experience some local culture.
