The southwestern corridor - with towns like Navarre, Brewster, Beach City and Wilmot - winds its way into Holmes County and the Heart of Amish Country.
The town of Wilmot is Stark County Ohio's Gateway to Amish Country. Located in the extreme southwest of the county, the area's beautiful hills and rolling farm country borders Wayne, Holmes and Tuscarawas Counties.
In the northwest, Canal Fulton offers the history and nostalgia of the old Ohio and Erie Canal. Ride a horse drawn canal boat or visit the Canal Days Museum.
Visit the historic downtown district with quaint shops and unique dining. And don't miss the annual Yankee Peddler Festival!
Like to drive history? Follow U.S. Route 30, the Lincoln Highway, as it stretches mid-county from east to west. Hit East Canton, the area originally settled by many Pennsylvania Dutch, if you want to play a round of golf. But be sure to stop at the Canton Classic Car Museum on your way.
While in Canton you'll want to experience the First Ladies National Historic Site, the William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, and especially the McKinley Monument. Of course, if you're a football fan, you won’t want to miss the Pro Football Hall of Fame Museum and the Hall of Fame Festival.
North Canton boasts of being the home of the Hoover Sweeper, where you can visit the Hoover Historical Center.
It's also where you'll find the corporate headquarters and factory of the famous Harry London Chocolate. They offer tours with free samples and have an in-house store where you can purchase their delectable candies.
In May of 2006 Harry London joined the 1-800-Flowers.com family of brands and has joined with Fannie May Chocolates.
