Sugarcreek Area Attractions

Alpine Hills Historical Museum
Three floors with 7000 sq. ft. open to visitors, displays depict the early days of the community with its Amish and Swiss heritage, audio-visual presentations, Tourist Information Center in lobby, mini-theator with 10 minute presentation on Amish way of life, making cheese, and area industries, open April-November, Monday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (July-September 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.)106 West Main Street, 1-888-609-7592.

The Budget
The Amish newspaper, published in Sugarcreek since 1890, National Edition serves Mennonite and Amish communities nationwide, published Wednesdays, Local Edition serves Tuscarawas & Holmes Counties, 134 Factory Street, 330-852-4634.

The John S. Yoder Home
Authentic Amish home built in 1869, open to the public Friday & Saturday 12:00 - 5:30 pm May - October, other tours by appointment, buses, churches and school groups welcome, 115 Andreas Drive, 330-852-4644.
