Experience Wilmot
Wilmot is a charming country village in the very southwest corner of Stark County. Founded in 1836, it is neatly bordered by Holmes, Tuscarawas and Wayne Counties.
As you follow US 62 southwest toward Wilmot you'll find the surrounding countryside begins to gently roll away as farmland, pastures and woodland merge with the horizon.
Just north is the Wilderness Center, a nonprofit institution dedicated to preserving and protecting 1700 acres of beautiful forests, fields and streams. It is open daily from dawn till dusk.
Of greatest notoriety is the Amish Door Village with restaurant, banquet facilities, shops, a bed and breakfast and a luxurious 52 room inn.
Dining
The Amish Door Restaurant has been family owned and operated by the Miller family since 1977. It is an award winning restaurant featuring traditional and Amish kitchen cooking with a choice of menu or family-style dining.
The aroma of home-baked breads, pies and pastries will lure you over to the bakery. Don't miss the creamy homemade fudge and freshly made cookies as well.
The Amish Door Banquet and Conference Center can accommodate groups from 20 to 500 and is perfect for rehearsals & wedding receptions, special holiday banquets or group events.
In recent years, Amish Door has become known for great, wholesome entertainment as well. The Banquet Center also features Dinner Theaters, Gospel Dinner Concerts, Comedy Dinner Shows, Mystery Dinner Theaters and more!
The shops include the Gallery with framed art, jewelry, scrapbooking and gifts. The Country Loft features country gifts, accessories and home décor. The Wooden Toy Shop sells toys, games, books, dolls and much more.
Grandma's Pantry and Ice Cream Parlor offers a wide selection of bulk foods, mixes, spices, kitchen accessories and hand-dipped ice cream.
While your there, you'll want to spend the night in their luxurious inn with beautiful country views, fitness room, indoor pool & hot tub, conference room and complimentary continental breakfast.
Perhaps the privacy of their exclusive bed and breakfast, the Hasseman House is more your style.
This beautifully restored 19th century Victorian style home has four separate guestrooms, each with private bath and two with Jacuzzi tubs.
The rooms are air conditioned and have satellite TV as well. You are also afforded use of the pool, hot tub and fitness room at the Inn.
