From July fifteenth to the nineteenth
We visited Ohios' Amish Country
Traveling by motor-coach from our hotel
To Holme's County unique community
Holstein cattle grazed the undulating landscape
Storing food in their four stomachs to yield
Milk for the farmer and his growing family
Percheron horses were picturesque in the fields
Wholesome breakfasts at Amish family homes
Where children with angelic voices
Sang acappella in German and English
Some popular songs of their own choices
Straw-hatted men and women wearing 'coverings'
Horse and buggy as their transportation mode
With their beautiful children in-tow
Created a delightful scene on the road
Our visit to the largest population of 'Plain People'
Brought us joy beyond our expectation
An experience we will treasure forever
As we pray that God will Bless our great nation.
